This blog is meant to document my feelings and thoughts throughout my internship with Charity First. For the next three weeks I will be introduced to the marginalized sectors of society in the Philippines and will work with Charity First in implementing their programs and examining their mission statement- helping people help themselves. I will be able to take a look at the lack of access and opporunities for education, social services, employment, and livelihood in these communities and analyze how Charity First is making these opportunities available to the people.
The Objective(s)
1. Introduce Charity First- its programs and services
2. To present the areas where Charity First address poverty (people's lack of opportunities and access to education, health services and employment).
3. To present these Philippine realities to the public (within and outside the country) and take part in the Charity First initiatives to address these problems.
